Dear Clients,
During this very challenging time, we want to reassure you that we are actively working to protect you and your family as we address the COVID-19 situation.
In our hospital, cleanliness is a very high priority and we have instituted even more rigorous and enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
To support social distancing efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19, we ask for your understanding as we implement the following procedures:
Please call our office prior to coming in to give us information on your pet's condition to allow us to better prepare for your arrival.
We ask that one adult accompany their pet to the clinic rather than multiple family members (exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis).
Pull up to the curb and call our office to notify us of your arrival. In order to limit direct person to person contact, our staff will meet you at the front door and take your pet into the hospital for examination by our veterinarian while you return to your vehicle and park in a marked parking space. After your pet is assessed, the veterinarian will call you to discuss your pet's condition and make recommendations regarding diagnostics and treatment. You will be given an estimate for your approval prior to our proceeding with your pet's care.
We will also be restricting all visitation of hospitalized patients, except for certain compassionate care situations such as end of life situations.
If you or anyone you have been exposed to are currently experiencing symptoms of a fever, sore throat, cough or shortness of breath, PLEASE let us know so we can take the necessary precautions.
Our goal is to protect our clients, staff and our veterinarians so we can remain open to care for pets in need.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Gerald P. FitzGerald, DVM (practice owner)
